Describe the equipment
A refrigerator, freezer or combined unit may have several compartments and functions. Existing manuals or purchase records are a useful place to find the model without moving the appliance or accessing enclosed areas.
Report the change in ordinary language
Explain what you noticed and when. If an existing display showed a message, quote it accurately without assigning a meaning you have not confirmed. Avoid repeatedly running an appliance to reproduce a concerning event.
Ask about the service scope
Confirm whether the provider handles this type of refrigeration appliance and the relevant work. A conversation about a visit is not itself a diagnosis, and an assessment does not necessarily include a repair.
Keep food decisions separate
Equipment advice and food safety are different questions. This site does not decide whether stored food is safe. Consult appropriate food-safety guidance and the appliance provider for the actual situation.
Read the written outcome
Check that the record separates the reported symptom, the findings and the work completed. If a further step is proposed, ask who will carry it out and what approval is needed.
